Project Name and Location  : Improve Water and Sewage Distribution System at Kandahar Airfield, Afghanistan

Estimated Construction Cost   : 33,655,934.-€

Project covers the improvement of the existing Water and Sewage Distribution Systems to serve a total of 30,000 KAF population. Water Distribution System is based on average usage of 45 US gallons of water per day per person. An Aquifer Study is prepared which is based on the existing water wells and geotechnical conditions of the existing aquifer layers. Extension of the water distribution system to South Park, Contractors Area, Deep South, Main Gate Area, Hotel Ramp and Panther Ramp Areas and a new water distribution system at the north side of the runway is planned by taking into consideration the water requirements of facilities in these regions such as Accommodations, MWRs, DFACs, Ops.Facilities, Office Buildings, ASPs, QRAs ...etc. A new Main Sewage Collection System together with Lift Stations and Manholes is also designed to serve the facilities mentioned above
